How much oil resistance does a bagasse clamshell need?

Can a PLA liner replace a water-based oil barrier?

Only for moderate-heat items. A PLA film lining softens near 60 C and loses structure against a hot fried patty, while a PE laminate holds grease well but ends the compostable claim. A PFAS-free water-based barrier is the current choice for hot fried food because it holds oil at service temperature and certified grades survive a compostability review. How many loaded burger boxes can stack without crushing?
