The Scenario: A serum set that arrived with a bent dropper

A beauty label was shipping a day-cream jar plus a serum dropper bottle in a two-compartment corrugated tray. In 1 in 12 shipments the dropper bent against the jar lid, and the tray let both products rattle.

Pain Points

• Droppers bent when the bottle slid against the jar lid;
• Jars rotated in their compartments, scuffing printed labels;
• The corrugated tray needed an extra foam pad to hold items.

The Solution: A holder that seats each component

The label moved to a molded pulp holder with a deep jar seat and a raked dropper pocket. The rake angles the dropper bottle so its neck clears the jar lid:

1. Deep jar seat The jar sits below the holder rim, so it cannot rotate and scuff.

2. Raked dropper pocket The angled pocket keeps the dropper neck clear of the jar profile.

3. Friction-fit lid The lid presses both components into their seats for transit.

The Result: Stable sets, cleaner pack line

Bent-dropper complaints stopped, and the label removed the foam pad from the BOM. The holder is molded in one piece, and the brand now ships the set in a smaller carton.
